Horses have been my lifelong passion, sparked by childhood cowboy films with my grandad. After much persuasion, my mum arranged riding lessons, leading to countless joyful years in the equine world.

Unfortunately, secondary school put an end to my riding due to time and financial constraints, but my love for horses never faded. I initially pursued a career in lighting and sound for theatre and music, yet I felt unfulfilled. A job installing horse walkers reignited my passion, especially after I witnessed a farrier at work. Inspired, I sought an apprenticeship and qualified with distinction from the Worshipful Company of Farriers.

For over 13 years, I’ve been a qualified farrier, continually honing my skills and collaborating with vets and experienced professionals. My journey has exposed me to numerous accidents, including a friend’s serious injury while riding, highlighting the critical need for improved safety measures.

Hearing similar stories from fellow farriers, along with facing personal challenges like my wife's saddle theft, made it clear that a solution was needed. This inspired the creation of Hac & Trak, a unique equine fall alarm and tack theft locator designed specifically for horse owners. Our mission is to provide accessible safety solutions for the equine community, ensuring the well-being of both horses and riders.
